40% off at BT2 this weekend

posted: 06-Nov-2009

I was winding down for the weekend and did a last minute mail check and guess what appeared in my inbox? Unfortunately for all our bank managers BT2 are offering 40& off all womenswear & menswear this weekend. Seriously! I thought Topshop were doing well with their 20% discount.

I haven't seen the discount advertised anywhere but BT2 have a great little newsletter that you can sign up for here, BT2 even Tweet! Something I've intended to get round to for a while now... Just in case you think I've gone off on a sugar-fuelled daydream here is proof:

Enjoy! I'm going to be in London for the weekend, doing an 8 hour tour of Oxford Street with the darling sister. See you Monday.

20% off at TOPSHOP!

I love topshop, I do! Not surprisingly seeing as they plucked me outta college to be a proper designer, but it's also about the fact that they are the best; want a pair of over knee boots that don't make you look like a hooker? Topshop understands. Want the perfect studded jeans for cheap? Topshop has every damn style possible. But Topshop is also very bold, since sterling has devalued they haven't really marked their stock down to match, meaning a dress in London £40, same dress in Dublin €58 when it should only be €45 ish.

So we have a little scoop *big dirty smile* for a seriously limited time Topshop have discounted EVERYTHING in their Irish stores by 20%. We've all gotten a rather jaded with Arnotts, Debenhams et al having 20% weekends, but it's the first time in Topshop's history that they've given 20% off the entire store, I'm told it's a pre-Christmas present to their Irish shoppers. Whoop whoop! Yep, pretty much their entire stock is on sale, from silk bras to leopard jackets. I'm eyeing up these bad boys:

I've wanted over knee boots for aggeeesssss now but have no desire to look like a hooker, I'll report back when I've got them on their hooker quotient. Next on my wish list, seeing as we can now officially start celebrating Christmas(!) is this sequin dress:

Working with Topshop has it's benefits and according to my darling little sister one of the primary ones is that I can tell her, before everyone else, when Topshop goes into sale. Very important! So folks Topshop goes into mid season sale today. I've been lusting after this gorgeous Cream Leather Jacket with it's oh so hot on trend gold studding for ages, and it's finally been reduced from £160 to £100, about €110

Rar! They've also reduced the Kate Moss Cardigan that I blogged about earlier here, from £45 to £30, about €33. In fact nearly the whole KM collection is in sale should you feel the urge.

I love when the shops actually discount stuff you actually want, come to me pretty Fuschia Silk Top from £38 to a very respectable £18, about €20.

And don't bother looking at the shoes, they fall under no.1 of the Golden Sale Rules: Thou shalt not buy something just because it hath been discounted. I mean urgh:

Eugh! I'm off to damage my credit card in honour of recession, I mean it's not real shopping if you get it on sale right?

Meet Jessie and Chupi – two of the hottest fashionistas in Ireland.

Chupi, 25, has something in common with Kate Moss – she has her own Top Shop label, while Jessie is one of the country’s best fashion journalists and editor of iVenus.com.

It’s not surprising that Jessie and Chupi share some common interests – they are cousins!

Every week they are going to be giving us the skinny on shop fashion, street fashion and all sorts of other insidery tips and observations.

Chupi spends much of her week in Top Shop in St Stephen's Green where she has her own label, Chupi. She was scouted by the British retailer when she was just 21.

And Jessie, spends her days talking to the top people in the business and sampling their latest products - lucky her - and analysing them.

You see, Jessie and Chupi. They just know stuff. And they’re going to share it with us. You can email them at jessiechupi@ireland.com
